Thinking about Death

Perhaps one should think about one's own death often!

This video is from the Shantideva Meditation Center showing an interview with Geshe Thubten Sherab which I greatly enjoyed, for it really made me think.

  1. Not thinking about death won't protect us. It comes to us all. And yes, if it makes us appreciate what we have now, it has to be a good thing.

  2. I feel we are all spiritual beings, having a human life, so I feel life goes on forever. But, saying that, the time we have on this earth, should not be wasted!

  3. A video worth watching, Lon.
I am now seventy years old and death is in the shadows of my mind often.

    Have a beautiful day~

  4. Thank you Elephant's Child, Stacy, and Jan so much for commenting on this topic, I greatly enjoyed reading what you had to share.

I know for me, by my viewing that video, it really helped me to be more cognitive with the actions I do from day to day to help my next life to come, even though I'm this imperfect person I am.

When I asked my wife to watch that video, she said it was exactly what she needed. Perhaps it really struck home, seeing her father was/is a Buddhist who believes in cause and effect associated with reincarnation as well as I do.
